Week 12 of p90x! Round 2 of BBL 4 Week Challenge :)

Well it's here. The first day of my "last week" for my p90x round 1 journey. I cannot believe how quick time went by. I also finished brazil butt lift on Saturday for the 4 week challenge and will be repeating it again today! If you want to start the 4 week Challenge with me-let me know by commenting below!

Looking back on p90x, there are some things that I wish I had been told or stuck to, so I want to share with you. These are also some general tips that will help you:

1. If you miss a day, don't give up! If you missed two days, you can *try to make it up, but don't over exhaust your body because it needs to be able to rest so that your body can be given the chance to change.

2. Get your nutrition figured out. How many calories do you want to consume a day? Or how many carbs do you want to limit yourself to? I limited myself to 80g of carbs a day in the last month and I REALLY wish I would have stuck to that rule in the first 2 months. Shakeology helped keep me on track!

3. Go for the Shakeology cleanse in your Recovery week and help burn some of the weight off and bust through your "setting weight" or plateau.

4. If you have cardio for a hybrid program or a lift day-stick to the one program that you are really focusing on. For example: I had cardio AXE with BBL and Cardio X for P90X. I usually do the one for P90X since it's my CORE program, however I also went off how I felt. If I wanted to dance for my cardio, I'd pick Cardio Axe.

5. Mark on your calendar your 30 days, 60 days, and 90 days. Take your photos! Even if you REALLY don't want to. I missed my 30 day photos for my full body and only have 60 day photos.

6. Know that you can't spot fat loss in one area. It's a full body transformation. However, if you want to add in something that works another part of your body then do it! That's why I chose Brazil Butt Lift.

7. Find a good protein drink, try the P90X recovery formula for sore muscles, take a fat burner that works for your body. I personally use OxyElite and LOVE it! Beachbody also has great supplements that many people can attest to.

8. Find a time of day that works best for you to do your workouts. Is it morning? Before work? Afternoon? Night? Don't leave it till the last minute, because you WON'T want to do it!

9. Find an area that will be your workout "room". I personally use my living room and have a corner dedicated to my equipment right in front of the TV so I can press play.

10. Invest in a mirror that will help you focus on your form! you can find cheap mirrors from Walmart that you can prop up on the wall. This will help you keep your eye on the PRIZE, literally!

11. Tell someone you are committing to a beachbody program, whether it's p90x, Turbofire, Insanity, etc. and let them know your goals! Or even better-get someone to do it with you! it's so much easier to have  success partner that can understand the ups and downs of figuring out nutrition, working out and weight loss!

12. Share your results with others! Sometimes it's great to get out of your comfort zone and prove that you are capable of change! It makes it less scary and you may end up inspiring someone else to do it as well!

So here is to Week 12! P90X is known as a 12 week program but I do have a 13th week that is to help recover and ab focus so that your 90 day photos are even better.
